If there are two staples in our house, they are yogurt and peanut butter (or almond butter). Okay, so I guess that's actually three staples if you count peanut butter and almond butter. Pancakes topped with peanut butter, almond butter and honey sandwiches, smoothies, parfaits, hummus yogurt dip, stir-fry with peanut sauce...and of course I cook with Greek yogurt all the time. So why not combine yogurt and nut butter into one dish?
This cinnamon nut butter dip is a definite favorite of the whole family. My son thinks it's such a treat! I like that he's getting calcium, protein and fruit (in the form of apple dippers). I'd say that's a winning combination for an active preschooler...and a thirty-something year old man. Yes, the hubs likes it, too (especially when served in a heart-shaped bowl with a smiley face).
The best part is that it's super easy. Only four ingredients! I find vanilla yogurt to be too sweet on its own, so I like to cut it with plain Greek yogurt. A 50/50 mix works for me. You get a little bit of sweetness but it's not overwhelming. Add your nut butter of choice (have I mentioned that we like peanut butter and almond butter?) and a dash of cinnamon. Mix it all up and...voila!

Enjoy with a variety of dippers
Ingredients:
1/4 c plain Greek yogurt
1/4 c vanilla yogurt
2 Tbsp nut butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Directions:
Stir all ingredients in a bowl.. That's it. Easy peasy.
Enjoy with apples, bananas, graham crackers, pretzels, raisins, or even by itself as a delicious snack.
If you wanted to get a little more sinful, you could use Nutella and omit the cinnamon. Oh yum. On that note, I'm getting hungry. Gotta run.
